Previously, eXergiemaschinen units were available with a maximum output of 3 kW (wall-mounted unit eXm-compact) to 40 kW (floor-standing unit eXm-pro). Now the new eXm-max extends the power range with a 100 kW version. The large version is suitable for hospitals and sports facilities, commercial installations or large residential buildings, for example.<\/p>\n<p><b>Makes the top hot and the bottom cool<\/b><br \/>A eXergiemaschine is a special water-to-water heat pump. It takes water at a medium temperature level from a stratified heating cylinder, heats part of it and stores it again at the top of the cylinder system. The other part is cooled down and stored at the bottom of the cylinder. In this way, the eXergiemaschine ensures a hot flow to consumers and a cool return flow to heat sources. The value or the extent to which the temperature should be raised or lowered can be set. The eXm-max performs this task very economically. As a reheater for DHW heating, this 100 kW version should achieve a COP (coefficient of performance) of around 6 in a system with W45-35\/W50-65. If you compare the power consumption with that of a simple electric immersion heater, the eXergiemaschine therefore only requires around a sixth of the energy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>First use of the eXm-max for waste heat recovery in a hotel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first practical use of the eXm-max is imminent: from this spring, it will turn waste heat into useful heat in a hotel. To do this, the waste heat from the air conditioning and refrigeration technology, which is generated at around 35 \u00b0C, will be fed into a stratified storage tank. The eXergiemaschine raises the heat to a temperature level of 65 \u00b0C so that the waste heat can even be used for hygienic hot water preparation and hotel expenditure on primary energy is reduced.
