Modernization at varmeco: Heat pump and solar thermal energy in real operation

What happens when new products supplement an existing heating system? How can climate-friendly heat sources be gradually made available in existing buildings? As a developer and manufacturer of heating technology products and a specialist in intelligent heat management, we at varmeco (Kaufbeuren) want to find out for ourselves and have therefore modernized our own system as a good example.

What have we implemented?
✅ Natural gas cogeneration plant dismantled
✅ Heating cylinder, heating and hot water network and solar thermal system still in use
✅ Two heat pumps and PVT collectors, which store their heat in a 3,000-liter low-temperature (LT) storage tank, are also new.
✅ To the already existing eXergiemaschine a second one to the side.
✅ A wood pellet boiler is installed as a backup.
✅ New photovoltaic system with 180 kWp for a high degree of self-sufficiency of the electricity-powered heating solution, which now supplies the administration, production and warehouse with heat and hot water - efficiently and CO2-free
