Built in 1968, the Iserlohn ice rink is used for professional and amateur sports. It was modernized structurally and in terms of building technology in 2012. The building currently offers
space for approx. 5000 visitors. The varmeco fresh water technology enables the cost-saving provision of hygienically perfect hot water. The 60 °C process water, which the operator needs to maintain the quality of the ice surface, is also supplied to the ice resurfacing machines at the right temperature according to requirements. The new hot water management system now enables large water withdrawals for showering and the simultaneous provision of process water for the ice trucks.
