Thomas Speidel's new apartment building in Weil im Schönbuch offers modern living comfort with low heating costs. Eight apartments (50-110 m²) are equipped with underfloor heating, living room ventilation and a PV system with storage. The innovative heating technology combines a 28 kW heat pump for the underfloor heating (36 °C flow) and the eXergiemaschine for energy-efficient hot water preparation (65 °C). This division of labor ensures high efficiency and hygiene.

In the plant room, two heat accumulators separate the temperature levels, which reduces heating costs. Distribution takes place via a four-pipe system with Home stations, that heat hot water on site as required. A system controller enables monitoring and remote access to further optimize operation. Building owner Speidel and heating planner Michael Leeb from Drieselmann are impressed by the concept, which offers a high level of comfort with low energy requirements.

The varmeco fresh water technology uses instantaneous water heaters to heat domestic hot water only when required, eliminating the need to store it in a domestic hot water tank and inhibiting the growth of germs (e.g. legionella).
