What networked control systems offer

  • Integration of all relevant sources, storage tanks and consumers, including pumps, valves and mixers
  • Automatic dosing of heat quantities
  • Heat flows without detours at the right temperature and quantity
  • Predictive and adaptive, self-optimizing controller logic
  • Effective management of the heat buffer
  • Interfaces to common bus systems such as Modbus or BACnet
  • Coordinated I&C components from the field level right up to the higher-level thermal management system
  • Easy operation at the terminal or via PC and smartphone, even remotely

Better control, more efficient heating

Control technology is the key to greater efficiency in heating and hot water technology. Burner and pump technology, for example, is so sophisticated that it is virtually impossible to increase efficiency. Smart controllers, on the other hand, are digital savers. They only provide heat when it is really needed and with the energy that can be used most effectively. This saves resources and reduces utility bills.

Heating system technology from varmeco ensures the energy-efficient interaction of all heat sources, consumers and storage tanks in a property. The system controllers integrate and optimize, for example

  • Condensing boiler
  • Heat pumps
  • CHP plants
  • Local and process heating systems
  • Solar systems
  • Stratified thermal store
  • Heating circuits
  • Drinking water heater

and regulate their needs-based, resource-conserving use.

Self-learning controller algorithms

To ensure that this is the case, our controllers are adaptive and capable of learning. Based on consumption patterns, they know how much heat is needed and when. In this way, they save energy without restricting comfort. The heat storage tank is therefore preferably charged when energy is available at low cost.

Ulteriori informazioni

For systems with multiple energy sources, our priority control ensures that the sources that are particularly climate-friendly and cost-saving are used first and foremost. This means, for example, that solar heat is not only preferred to natural gas, but the heat from a solar thermal system is also „stored“ in advance in order to minimize the consumption of fossil fuels. This minimizes costs and reduces CO2-footprint of the property.

Networked for more efficiency and less complexity

Controllers from varmeco work as a team. From the field level (compact controller VC211) to the automation level (VarCon380 system controller) through to the higher-level heat management system, all I&C components work together seamlessly. This avoids interface problems and simplifies assembly, installation and commissioning. The higher-level varmeco Management Server (VMS) makes it easy to maintain an overview. It provides access to important information, even to the values of individual sensors and actuators, and at the same time offers users functions that are otherwise only found in a (significantly more expensive) building management system. This allows systems to be monitored easily and efficiently or new control settings to be defined - even from the office or on the move thanks to remote access.
